Feedback Survey from Summer School 2023
July 2023
Our sister project GES4SEAS just shared some insights from the survey put in place after AZTI Summer School 2023 and we are excited to share these final notes.
On the beginning of June all roads led to Spain, and we can still feel the energy of all the sessions and talks about innovative tools to study marine ecosystems. Events like these are key to discuss new ways of assessing and studying marine systems and mitigate the impacts disturbing the marine environment and ecosystems.
We can certainly relate with the participants’ perceptions shared by the organization: to bring key stakeholders and the general audience together, we must continue to make an effort to keep our communication clean and straightforward. Plus, it is crucial to help bridging the gap between civil society, politicians, and scientists, bringing together all players, views, insights and needs.
A joint effort is the only way to secure the future of marine environments. To that end, OBAMA-NEXT will continue pursuing its goal to develop tools and new approaches to generate and deliver information needed to evaluate and communicate the status and trends of marine ecosystems and their biodiversity. Accuracy, simplicity, and cost-effectiveness are at the heart of this mission and guide our everyday work.
We would like to take the chance to once again thank GES4SEAS, BiOcean5D, ACTNOW, and MARBEFES for this incredible opportunity to share rooms full of experts and give our contribution to help securing a better, brighter future for our oceans.
