WORK PACKAGE 4
Toolbox development for information products for biodiversity, habitats and ecosystem function
Here is a summary of the activities being developed in work package 4. All activities are linked to work package tasks (T) and deliverables (D).
2023
Q1 – December to February | — |
Q2 – March to May | Drafted Deliverable D4.2 “Blueprint of digital architecture and exposure through repositories” (Task T4.2) |
Held a kick-off meeting to start with key studies on jSDM for benthic vegetation, developing methodology for LSs (Task T4.3)
Established a platform for project participants to store and document scripts, codes, and programs (Task T4.2)
Q3 – June to August | Prepared the outline of Deliverable D4.1 (Task T4.1) |
Conducted an in-person technical workshop in Helsinki on methods for marine biodiversity mapping and monitoring (Task T4.3)
Began literature review on visualisation of science products and best practices for visualization and scientific representation (Task T4.4)
Q4 – September to November | Completed the first full draft of D4.1, including PAB survey answers collated in M1.2 (Task T4.1) |
Achieved M4.1, deliverable due the following year (Task T4.2)
Organized a workshop on modelling uncertainty (species model distribution and ML/DL models) (Task T4.5)
Submitted a manuscript on fish larvae production analysis. Started data exploration and model building (Task T4.3)
Developed an array of tools to analyse ecological data from LSs using process-based models, statistical methods, and AI techniques (Task T4.3)
Conducted extensive research to compile a list of open-source visualization tools tailored for spatial products. Shared findings in a workshop and showcased visualization examples (Task T4.4) |
2024
Q5 – December to February | Distributed the final draft of internally for review D4.1 (Task T4.1) |
